summer tomato platter

Ingredients

  • 4-5 heirloom or slicer tomatoes

  • Salt and pepper

  • Burrata or good quality mozzarella 

  • Fresh basil leaves torn

  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced

  • Aged balsamic, slightly reduced

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • sprigs of dill to garnish


Makes 6-8 servings

Slice tomatoes about ¼” thick and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Mix together the minced garlic and olive oil in a small bowl.

Slice the burrata into pieces, slightly reduce the balsamic on the stove, let cool

Arrange the tomato slices on the platter adding a piece of cheese and basil in between each slice.  Pour the oil garlic mixture and balsamic vinegar over the top, season with some more salt, pepper, basil, and dill.
